What is Ledger ® Live?
Ledger ® Live is the official desktop and mobile application from Ledger ® for managing cryptocurrency accounts with a Ledger ® hardware wallet. It acts as a secure interface: balances, transaction history, staking, portfolio overview, and integrated third-party services (Buy / Exchange / Swap) are accessible while private keys remain on your device.
There is no password stored by the app — Ledger ® Login is performed by unlocking your physical Ledger ® hardware with its PIN and approving actions on the device screen. For any ledger.com interactions or account pages, make sure you visit ledger.com and confirm you’re on the correct domain before entering sensitive data.
If you use a Ledger ® account for Ledger services, follow the official ledger.com sign-in flow and enable recommended security settings on your end.
Ledger ® Exchange & integrated services
Ledger ® Live includes partner integrations for buying, selling, and swapping crypto (referred to as Ledger ® Exchange inside the app). These are third-party services embedded in the Ledger ® Live interface — transactions still require explicit confirmation on your Ledger ® device.
Before using Exchange features, review partner terms and ensure you trust the service. Always confirm every transaction detail on the hardware device prior to approval.
Troubleshooting: login issues & connection errors
Common issues and practical fixes:
Ledger Login not working / Unable to login Ledger: update Ledger ® Live to the latest version, update your device firmware, try a different USB cable/port, or toggle Bluetooth for mobile.
Error Connecting Ledger ® Account: check firewall/VPN settings, ensure system time is correct, and restart Ledger ® Live and the device.
Ledger ® App not Working / Can't verify Ledger ®: reinstall Ledger ® Live from the official download page, clear the app cache, or run as administrator on desktop.
Ledger ® error decline: this occurs when a transaction is rejected on-device — recheck amount, fee, and destination before re-approving.
Ledger ® 2fa reset: Ledger ® Live does not manage third-party 2FA — if an external service requires 2FA reset, use that service’s recovery flow. For account issues tied to ledger.com, consult Ledger ® support.
If you lose access to your Ledger ® device, recover accounts using only your 24-word recovery phrase on a genuine Ledger ® or approved recovery tool. Never enter the recovery phrase into a website or share it with anyone. For step-by-step recovery instructions, use the official Ledger ® Help Center.
